A lot of damage was done to the Link News this week, as it was exposed as a fraud and defamatory piece of garbage, which resorts to throwing its power around to squelch criticism it cant respond to. It defames innocent people, covers up abusive janitors, and then it skirts any argument, instead resorting to childish and inane insults. Then it simply implodes. Personally I hope that the Link and the involved parents get their pants sued off for their stunts. The real motivation for the Links retorts is a deep fear of legal trouble, as well as an inability to actually rebuke the arguments. Then, being the coward and bully it is, it leans on its power to squelch critics. Freedom of speech for no one but the Link! It is a pathetic, cowardly and fatuous excuse for a paper. Sadly, theres also a minute group of lunatics in Oceanport who came running to the defense of their friends- the parents who decided to ream an innocent man. Desperately afraid of legal trouble, and unable to respond to argument, they instead resorted to lies and personal attacks. Alienated form reality and delusionally confident from their minute depth, they think they have made some great case, but they lack the intellectual depth, class, and honesty to do anything approaching such. In other words, a bunch of assholes desperately trying to protect their friends. Thats ok- now the forum has moved to bigger and better places rather than the uneducated, insular world of small town yahoos.
