A must listen to interview about the Kerner Commission that is as relevant today as it was 4 decades ago. White self-segregation, white privilege, white economic privilege, de facto white superiority maintenance, white education privilege, etc, etc, etc, is still as ingrained in the fabric this country as it ever was. In fact it has worsened to the point that class superiority is practiced against poor whites by those in self-appointed superior economic classes. Maintaining white superiority in all facets of American Society is a conservative goal as much as maintaining economic superiority. Saying it is racism is too easy. It is superiorism and the quest to maintain white superiority. Fear of losing control drives so much of the conservative platform that a prediction can be made that ultimately violence is and will be the tool of choice in the near future. Violence comes in many forms including violation of basic human rights and violating constitutional rights by a superior economic class to maintain their position.
