A perfect statement by Jeffrey Mike: My current boss has not hired a deputy in 12 years when other agencies have hired. We have gone from a agency of 600 to 230ish. We have only 4 squads for enforcement plus 3 others paid for by the state. Ask your friend if she sees sheriffs on the freeway? I down. Its hard to enforce 111 miles of freeway with only 4 cars. It is also very unsafe. There crashes and that require 3 squads to make the people, Fire Dept, and the deputes safe. Now you only have one squad to respond, or you have all the other squads busy and only one squad to try to protect a scene. We have had more deputies injures, I believe, as a result of this. My boss is more concerned will self promotion and feeding his ego. He does speak his mind, but ask yourself, does he back it up? He tells the Milw Police Dept to hire more officers and he hires no deputies. He points fingers and the mayor and police chief about the gun and drug problem in Milw yet he eliminates the County Drug Unit and the Gun unit. He blames MPS for producing trouble kids who are under educated and become criminals yet he cuts the County DARE program. Look at the Milwaukee County Sheriff Office web sight, its all pictures of him...pure self promotion. looking at that sight I would think no one else was employed there. I can go on, but I will vote for Moews because I truly believe that if Clarke is re elected the Sheriffs Office will no excite at the end of other 4 years. what will be left is a jail run by correction officer, a freeway turned over the State Patrol and the municipalities and the court house run with private security. Moews wants to build MSCO, not dismantle it. And Clarke has been dismantling it from the time he got here.
