A recent Pew Research Center poll found that 61% of Brazilians feel that hosting the #WorldCup would is a bad thing for their country. This pessimism stems from a multitude of grievances, some not directly linked to the World Cup, including spiraling costs, rising transport prices, higher living costs, housing concerns and accusations of police brutality. But with new jobs and improvements in infrastructure, there are many who are more positive about the long-term benefits of hosting the prestigious tournament.
