A slightly different update: Tonight we were able to blow raspberries at some old doctors and their set in stone opinions! Not for Mumsie but for Benny. 31 years ago they told Mum and Dad about how limited Bens life would be and how little he would accomplish. However tonight while writing his wish list to Santa he was able to spell Santa all by himself and without copying it from anywhere. This achievement is usually only for family members names and has to be fairly repetitive to be remembered. Its just another way our family are prepared for the long haul, ready for little steady steps if thats what it takes and always ready to celebrate each accomplishment as they happen! As for Mumsies update: shes stable, starting to open her eyes again for longer periods, sometimes able to poke her tongue out and still having some time off the ventilator. Were all feeling a little sense of déjà vu with these progress steps but know well see her get strong again!
