A wife who loses a husband is called a widow A husband who loses a wife is called a widower A child who loses a parent is called an orphan There is no word for a parent who loses a child That’s because the loss is too vast for words God bless all of our nation’s Gold Star Parents. For every warrior lost, there is a parent left behind; a mother who gave that child their first breath - a father who helped form that warrior’s beating heart. It is unnatural for a parent to bury their child. Thank you Mothers and Fathers for raising our Heroes. We are not worthy of the ultimate sacrifice they offered in the name of freedom. Hug your children and thank God that you are able to watch them grow each day with the blessings of freedom
