AAP TAKES ACTION TO CURB CORRUPTION & MIDDLE MEN IN NAADA KACHERI, BEGUR - Office under Deputy Tahsildhar AAP Bommanahalli conducted a sting operation on 19th Nov to expose officers at Naada Kacheri (Also known Atalji Janasnehi Kendra). On Sunday, 16th Nov, AAP Bommanahalli team conducted the Janasabha at Bandepalya near HSR Layout. Hundreds of public participated actively and our volunteers recorded their concerns and assured them to solve issues asap by co-ordinating with concerned Govt Officials. The complaints include various problems / issues such as Water, Road, Stray Dogs, Garbage, and Education under RTE act, availing various government facilities (Old age pension, widow pension, handicap pension, caste and income certificates etc.) Next day our team started working on the issues by obtaining all the related forms and documents. We visited Naada Kacheri (Atalji Janasnehi Kendra) to interact with Govt Officials as this office is responsible for issuing several documents mentioned above. We found several irregularities such as allowing brokers inside the office rooms, Officials taking bribe for doing their job, Sr Officials not coming to office on time to perform their duties and responsibilities. On Wednesday, 19th Nov 2014, we conducted a surprise sting operation at Naada Kacheri (Atalji Janasnehi Kendra). We initially interacted with Public who had come to office for getting some of above certificates, we recorded their statements and we met a Broker illegally holding 100s of Public Documents(Income Certificates, Pension Forms, Caste Certificates). Upon understanding its AAPs Sting Operation he left behind all documents and fled away. The bag is handed over to DCP with our complaint. We called the police immediately and Circle Inspector with his team came to the spot. We invited media to the site and 4 news channels came to the site and recorded the proceedings. We ensured both Deputy Tahsildar and Tahsildar coming to the Naada Kacheri by evening 4.00 PM. Explained all the issues to the Tahsildar. It was the direct responsibility of Deputy Tahsildar who had failed to deliver her duties and responsibilities. We along with Tahsildar have also logded the complaint to Deputy Commissioner of Police(DCP). DCP has promised us the following. 1. Immediate suspension of Case worker and the Contractor. 2. He would recommend suspension of Deputy Tahsildar. We demand installation of CCTV and Biometric at all the locations of Naada Kacheri. On Thursday, video footage has been given for live telecast in one of the Kannada news channel Public TV. The entire issue has been published in few of the Kannada newspapers. We informed our action to local public about our action and some of them gave feedback that there are no Brokers and they spend very little time to meet officials after our sting operation. We are committed to solve the issues raised by public in our Janasabha and will visit this office again to follow up on pending applications & Police Action.
