ADVICE NEEDED for Special Mom #psnm00267 I have a 9 yr old daughter with Lennox–Gastaut seizures, We had a VNS placed in july 2010 and the Neurologist said today that her battery on the VNS is on yellow(it should last 3 months tops) When she had the operation they told us that it would last 6-10 yrs. We are not concerned with her going through the surgery again more like what happens when her battery life is completely gone Will we see increase in seizures. Her hospital is super busy and we arent sure she will be able to have the operation before the battery dies. Anyone go through this, what should we expect once the battery dies? Hopefully, surgery will be before that but just want to know worse case scenario?
