AMC is now showing The Tree of Life, with Brad Pitt. Its not the Robin Williams I thought they would play after. I remember watching The Tree of Life when it came out. I went to see it with a co-worker. All throughout the movie we gave each other a look in an effort to understand what was going on. (Hey! The two of you couldve given each other a blow job instead, if the movie was so confusing!) What an incredibly confusing movie. With Brad Pitt in a dare. What a great actor. The movie is essentially a series of imagery evoking landscapes from the universe; Brad Pitts presence -- what a great actor! -- was probably bait to sell the movie. I read somewhere that the director of this movie went on to direct Lucy, with Scarlett Johansson; both The Tree of Life and Lucy bear some (cinematographic?) resemblance, but Lucy has more of a comprehensible plotline than The Tree of Life, with Brad Pitt -- great actor! I hate movies like The Tree of Life.
