APPEAL: Were you in the West End area of Stoke on Saturday? We are appealing for witnesses to an armed robbery in West End, Stoke, on Saturday 8 November. A man went into the West End News shop in London Road just after 7pm. His face was covered and he was carrying what is believed to be a rifle. He threatened the shop keeper and a customer in the shop. He ran out of the shop with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured. The offender came out of the shop and possibly headed in the direction of waste ground towards an estate off Campbell Road in West End. He has been described as 510 - 60 tall and skinny build. He was wearing a light-coloured hooded top and dark track suit bottoms. If you saw the offender before or after the incident, or you believe you know him, please contact us. We are also asking for anyone who has CCTV at their property to contact us on 101 quoting incident 565 of 8 November.
