ATTENTION PARENTS: Another messed up morning to add to my plate. Not only has my 6 year old gone through catching the flu, now a stomach virus and on top of that HEAD LICE. She has super long hair and that just makes it worse. The same thing happened to my oldest daughter a few times in elementary school. My issue, besides the obvious, is that even though I will be calling her school and emailing her teacher, they will not send home anything for parents to be aware. Ive fought this battle before and lost with EMISD leaders. So, it remains up to us to spread the word PLEASE. I am pleading with you all to check your childrens hair thoroughly... Often. Its particularly hard to see on light haired kids. So use a very good lighted area when checking. Its a painful process for some that have long hair, costly if you dont treat immediately and keep checking and continue treating until they are gone. Im just wanting all parents to be aware.
