About DArt Holland: A mother gives birth to a child and guides him through life until he’s old enough to continue on its own. It’s always important to know and remember where you came from in order to have a steady foundation and the necessary tools to continue the journey of a thousand miles. Similarly as the above-mentioned example, D’Art Holland originated from D’Art Curaçao, which was founded by Mr. Raychel Sambo and Mr. Ivan Felipa in the year 2008. D’Art Holland is since September 2013 registered in the chamber of commerce of the Netherlands as an association. Although in different countries, D’Art Holland and D’Art Curaçao continue to work together to achieve synergy both nationally and internationally. We firmly believe that one can achieve more together than alone. The name D’Art speaks for itself, which is literally the art. Art has everything to do with creation of beauty. D’Art Holland strongly focuses on the quality of every performance, which entails thoroughly the planning and setting up of the choreographies and rehearsals thereof. As a result, D’Art Holland emphasizes on conveying a heartwarming experience for the audiences. For these reasons we could not agree more with what the famous Greek Philosopher Aristotle ones said, The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance. Mission: Our mission is to promote primarily the Curaçaoan and secondarily the Caribbean culture through performing arts while simultaneously contributing to the personal growth and health of the dancers and whole community. D’Art Holland envisages: 1). Enriching people’s life around the world with knowledge of the Curaçaoan and Caribbean culture. 2). Becoming an organization that works in collaborations and partnerships, both nationally and internationally, to achieve artistic excellence. 3). Raising awareness of the importance of health through performing arts.
