Abraham assumed that if Isaac died, God as able to bring him back to Life again, and in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead. Hebrews 11: 19 NLT Accounting that God was able to raise him up even from the dead, from whence he also received him in a figure. Hebrews 11: 19 KJV We have not had our Lord ask us to face s a cruel death such as Christ died, but I have had circumstances in my life, where my daughter was facing death, a result of ovarian cancer. The Lord asked me if I was willing to give her up. At first I did not want to, but he asked me three times. I knew I had to, because I did not want her to suffer anymore. Then two years later, my son who had MS, was called home to be with the Lord. Both of them were in their 50’s, and our hearts were broken. It was the hardest trial I have ever faced, to part with our beloved Darlene and Don. However, we have the blessed hope that we will be reunited, and then we will never be separated again! Our family has had many miracles over the years, and I know God could have healed them, but he did not choose to in both of their cases. I am confident that my Father had good reason to take them home. I cannot see the whole picture, but he is our eternal Father. He gives and takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord!
