AcroJam Weekly Challenge Tutorial - Mermaid 1. Starting in easy throne pose, the base takes the flyers feet and squeezes the foot on the side they wish to move first. 2. The flyer uses this cue to apply weight into this foot and the bases hand. This lifts the body slightly allowing the base to move their supporting foot from thigh to just behind the knee. Bases foot should have toes facing forward and heels back with only the toes visible. The bases foot should be as close to the crease behind the knee as possible. 3. Flyer wraps this foot around the bases calf. 4. The flyer then applies weight in the opposite foot and rotates their foot toward the ground so that their thigh is facing the base. Bases arm must remain strong and supportive. As the flyer rotates, base places their foot on the thigh towards, but just above, the knee. 5. Flyer then bends this knee and, depending on flexibility, takes hold of the foot with their hand or crook of their elbow. 6. Raise opposite hand in sign of a mudra or, if flexibility allows, reach back to clasp the hand behind as shown in the video.
