Admin, I hope this is allowed... I have a question, as Ive never had a weanling so young before... We recently brought home a 5 month old filly... We do not have any other babies, and no pasture situation...We have stalls with 12x30ft runs. Baby was not weaned when we picked her up , so weaning started the day we brought her home (last weekend) ... Since the rainy season has begun, the runs are pretty wet and muddy. My question, is this... how do we introduce her to our herd in a safe environment? We have an indoor arena and the runs on the stalls, do you think shell be ok in the run? It is done up like Clinton style, but I worry about her getting caught up in it as Ive seen a few bigger horses do. I dont want to keep her stalled as I know how bad that is for them. Any advice is helpful...
