Advice Issued For: Narrawong, Narrawong East Fire Origin: MT CLAY Incident Name: MT CLAY - GOLF COURSE ROAD Issued: 05/04/14 12:22 PM This Advice message is being issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Narrawong, Narrawong East. The MT CLAY fire is under control. Smoke from within the fire perimeter may continue be visible from nearby communities and roads. There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions. All residents may now return to their homes. The following roads are closed. Please avoid: - Golf Course Road east of Heywood Golf Course - Woolwash Road - Rifle Range Road - Tower Road - Boyers Road north of Goodes Road Sawpit Camping ground, mountain bike tracks and walking tracks in the burned area are currently closed until further notice due to hazardous trees, which may fall. The next update is expected by 06/04/14 12:00 PM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Review your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. If you are experiencing smoke exposure, seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024. Stay Informed: Via depi.vic.gov.au. Tune to ABC Local Radio, commercial and designated community radio stations, or Sky News TV. Call the Victorian Bushfire Information Line (VBIL) on freecall 1800 240 667.
