Agreement between the 5 member committee of the Hindu representatives and govt. of Sindh signed after lengthy discussions Saturday night. Karachis Commissioner, Karamat Ali of Piler announced the decisions. All demands of the protestants have been accepted. Three Sindh govt. ministers Dr. Sikandar Mandhro, Mukesh Chawla and Gianchand Asrani attended the meeting. 1) Govt expressed regrets and accepts responsibility for delay in arrest of killers. 2) Sanaullah Abbasis inquiry report would be shared with affected families and concerned persons on Monday. 3) If family expresses dissatisfactions on this report, as an alternative arrangement a judicial inquiry would be requested to Sindh HC CJ. Also govt. agrees to set up an inquiry from a reputable police officer if judicial commission was not formwd. 4) The sitting SSP would be sent on leave. 5) Compensations would be paid to the victim families within 2 weeks. 6) The govt would set up a CPLC in Umerkot. 7) The provincial govt. has assured no punitive action would be taken against the participants of this Dharna.
