Ah, to hell with it, Ill just share music and make up stories - TopicsExpress

Ah, to hell with it, Ill just share music and make up stories based on the background pictures. Might as well throw in some background info as to why Im picking it, too. To kick this off, lets start with some classic Demetori! Ascending Into Naught is actually the first doujin song I remember hearing from the Touhou project and is a good part of the reason I joined the fandom (and simultaneously discovered I enjoyed metal :P ), so its definitely a good starting point. As for why I like the song itself, it has a strong start and, while it does get repetitive, it definitely stays strong throughout. The tempo makes it what a coworker of mine once called a bit of a running song, which is great because I also love running, though I dunno if Id go running to it... Wind Wakers Molgera battle theme is my favorite for running, got a decent mile to it once in high school. But like one of my favorite books, its something I can always go back to even if it isnt my favorite Demetori song... its actually more like top five. Of course, Ill definitely post my other favorites later, but for now lets move on to the story. The twice-defeated maid opens a heavy door, revealing a cavernous room cast in a red gloom. At the far end, steps led up to a small platform cast in shadow. A red carpet led from the silhouette of a throne to your feet, crossing checkered tiles in between. Our guest has arrived, Mistress, says the maid with a bow, her voice carrying strangely well in the vast space. Thank you, Sakuya, answers a small yet imperious voice from the throne. A shadow moves, detaching itself from the seat, and glides down the steps. Behind you, the door snaps shut; you start and spin about to find the maid has gone. Do you like what Ive done outside? You turn back to the mysterious figure, who now stands in the rooms center. Though you cannot distinguish any of her features, you can see that her head is inclined toward the high windows along one wall, their heavy crimson drapes drawn. Of course, you cant see much this way - Ive heard youre a bit bird-eyed. Sakuya! the figure calls, clapping twice, Please open the curtains for our guest. A breeze slips through the room; as it dissipates, the door closes again with a small click. You blink in the blood-red moonlight suddenly streaming into the room, though it scarcely seems any brighter than before. Outside, the red mist remains, though now with the room half-illuminated the figure is revealed. In the moonlight she appears to be garbed in blood-soaked garments, though you suppose her dress must be closer to white, perhaps some shade of pink in proper light. Its a slightly frilly affair with a large bow sticking out around the back just below her batlike wings. Her hair is an odd color; the light is entirely wrong for deciding just what it is at the moment, though it appears purple beneath a mob cap matching the dress in color and style, right down to a ribbon. Shes very small, even smaller than you, but her red eyes glow in the dark, radiating mirth. With a smile, she reveals pointed teeth. Youve done well, getting past my guard, librarian, and maid, she says, But now youve come to the final stage. (Music starts) Are you ready to contend with the Scarlet Devil herself? https://youtube/watch?v=b-WmpoP6ZSs
