Alright, folks. I hate starting the day off like this, but I have been getting numerous (some might argue too many) questions on this subject, and its absolutely starting to grate on my last nerve. Posts on here asking me. Private messages asking me. Its going to stop right now. This post is not for everyone here. I want to make that clear right now. With that, I understand that this status might not sit right with a few of you. I totally get that. And I try to be as accommodating, and reasonable, and fair as I can be with all of you. But I am at my wits end. So, after what Im about to say, and I havent my point clear to you, and you still get peeved--thats really okay by me. Be peeved. So buckle in, this is going to be a long read. First things first: There. Are. No. Variants. In. This. Line. If there were, I would tell you. Manufacturing errors are NOT variants. Missing accessories, the position of a figures hair, slight different positioning in the package (unless something significant, i.e; Spider-Man upside down, as opposed to right side up, or WWE Batista backwards to show back tattoo) are NOT variants. A head tilt? Really? Variants would be something like Jaime Lannister having the running change of the white added to his armor, or the aforementioned significant variation in positioning of the figures. Or the SDCC and Walmart Tyrion. Those are true variants. The former mentions are not, therefore, they are not worth anything. And that brings me to my next point: How much do you think theyre worth? Now, this community, and I dont just mean here, but the toy community in large, is a fairly small and tight-knit group. It may seem huge, but there is not as large of a collector base as you might think. Because of that, we look out for each other. We let each other know when and where to look for things. Often, we help each other out when something is hard to find. We have disagreements, sure. But more often than not, we have each others backs. When you are looking to pick up something that you think might be worth something with the sole intention of turning around to mark it up and make a profit off of it, thats called scalping, children. So, in case you havent noticed, when you send me questions of how much something is worth, I will not respond. Its because I absolutely abhor scalpers. Myself, and a LARGE contingent of other collectors do not, and will not, tolerate that crap. If you are only in this hobby in order to make money, then you are not someone that I want to be a member of this community. I think its safe to say that Im not alone in this thought. Theres the door, see ya, dont let it hit ya where the Good Lord split ya. We are fans of Funko (and other companies). We are here for the toys because we have a true passion for them. We are here because we want to share news with one another. We are here to have fun, and talk about said passions. And we are here because we want to help one another. If you are here for any other reason, goodbye. Now, I hate being a hard-ass, but the next question I see here where someone is asking how much something is worth, that person is G-O-N-E, no questions asked. I think Ive tolerated it long enough. I dont want to hear any excuses. I dont want any apologies. But now you know where I stand, and you just change what needs to be changed. If this doesnt apply to you, I thank you for your participation here, I appreciate the hell out of you, and you can move along. And if this *does* apply to you, think long and hard about what your next move is. Hard-assing over, kiddos!
