All interested candidates should send their application directly to the resort GM Jason Strickland at jasonstrickland1003@gmail We are a 95 room hotel part of the Tanoa Group with properties in Fiji,NZ and Samoa. tanoatusitala We require an Executive Chef who will oversee a brigade of 17, looking after 1 a la carte restaurant and a 200 seat convention facility. An experienced Sous Chef would suffice. Single status preferred due to the fact that we cannot guarantee employment for a spouse but will consider partners with relevant hospitality experience. The environment would also not be suitable for school aged children. As you are aware every employer stipulates “hands on Chef required”. This phrase has never rung truer than for Samoa. Obviously stock control and daily admin duties are required however this role requires a Chef that thrives on challenges, is passionate about local produce and above all gains satisfaction from growing and nurturing their team as the majority have no formal training. Conference experience is mandatory. Now we are not necessarily looking for a fine dining chef but would not discount that being part of their background, as a matter of fact we would prefer more of a contemporary bistro style chef with a presentable rustic flair. Candidates who enjoy sunshine, diving, surfing and the outdoors would thrive in Samoa. Package 70,000 NZ with accommodation, meal allowance and yearly return flights.
