An interview with the previous French foreign minister: Roland Dumas: Britain was ready to attack Syria because it opposes Israel. No conspiracy theories, but the destruction of the Iraqi army (as well Iraq itself), the terrible haemorrhaging of the Syrian army (as well as Syria), and what happened to Libya and Yemen, NOT forgetting Egypt (with the Camp David accords that turned into a mere spectator rather than a major regional player): all this saves only one rogue state in the region, the very state that killed and maimed thousands of civilians in Gaza and Palestine. Most Arabs are aware of this, as well as most fair minded observers and politicians: For a state built on apartheid, ethnic cleansing and total disregard to international conventios, the only way to survive is only through brutal force, pre-empting any potential threat and using scorched earth policy, and if necessary whole sale slaughter of innocent civilians including children, in case they grow up to challenge the occupation, aggression and all the crimes against humanity. It is time the whole world pay more attention to the festering wound in the middle East: 66 years is way too long for the world to act; if anything good at all is to come from Israels murderous campaign on Gaza in the last eight weeks it is this: the world now knows the true face of Israel, and is get increasingly intolerant of all its criminal behaviour. As for Palestine (and the whole region): No Justice= No Peace.
