An open appeal to my peers: I no longer live in Lancaster Pa but I am willing to do whatever it takes to help our youth. Violence is plaguing our once upon a time family oriented city. I lost a brother, two nephews, several cousins and many friends to the streets. We can blame each - other, we can blame our youth, we can blame rap music or our society but why take the time to blame anyone. Instead lets find a solution. I dont have all the answers but I do know that our kids need mentors, love, discipline and exposure. So Im calling out my generation! Its time for us to stand up and get out here and help our children. We have to go beyond the school system, we have to go into their homes, go into their neighborhood and be a united force. Im down to do whatever but I cant do it alone so Im screaming loud and clear to my peers lets be the change they need its our time to do more than talk about!
