Another Cardio day... I fell just shy of my personal best at rowing by 31 meters in 20 minutes after the 5 miles run and 3 mile bicycle...Todays focus on the run was to use Systema breathing methods to control my heart rate, for same speed and resistance I was able to shave 8 to 10 beats a minute off my average heart rate during run and the most significant personal achievement for me was to take my heart rate from 155 down to 130 in 1 minute and 50 seconds walking it down at the end of run, through Systema breath control...a personal record in recovery for me...Next week to try again to beat my personal best at rowing and to drop from 165 heart rate to below 130 recovery inside 3 minutes....my resting heart rate remains in high 50s...not too shabby for 57 yo.... growing younger !!
