Apologize for being a slacker... was in Bow Overload yesterday, but it was worth it because theyre adorable 💕 To catch up on yesterday & todays progress... Both girls had their Umbilical lines removed and had picc lines put in. Its a deeper type of IV that is more stable, its inserted in a sterile environment, less chance of infection and the one line will stop them from having to create so many temporarily lines to do their blood transfusions, etc... since their veins are so little, its the best option. (I almost said installed haha...work seeping in there haha) Havens lungs arent as developed as Renys, but they have decreased her oxygen assistance level from 54% to 41%, so any improvement is awesome! Her chest x-ray was still showing a hazy left side, so she gets to spend time laying on her right side, to try to help the left side along. They reduced Renys isolette to 30% humidity, and her ventilator is currently at room temperature! Woo! She did have a blood transfusion right before they pulled the old lines and put in the new one; both girls have been tolerating everything really well. Chrissy was able to change multiple diapers today and was able to feed both babies. 😉 They mentioned earlier this week they were going to increased their food intake from 1cc every 4 hours to 1cc every 3 hoirs but hadnt actually done it until now and they will continue to increase the amount by 1cc every 12 hours as long as the girls can tolerate it. Obviously theyre micro preemies and can only hold so much, but the more they eat, the faster they grow. 🌹🌸🌻🌼 Took a few pics today of the babies. Look at that diaper!!! & it has to be folded in half because its still too big 💗
