Around 1974...in East Templeton Massachusetts elementary school...we had a class project where we wrote to astronauts in Cape Canaveral Florida and Houston Texas. Of course they were auto signed responses...but the Space centers would send us back these 8 x 11 glossy photos out in space..I was thrilled and wrote to all the old astronauts...Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin , Allen Collins and many others...I wrote so much and they would send like a dozen of these photos...finally they said I would have to pay if I wanted more...nowadays...to see the photos taken from satellites and hubble telescopes...I never take it for granted...they are awesome...
