As Ive started to help people on the road toward reaching their fitness goals, Ive heard a lot of concern about the number on the scale! Its normal...even I focus on the number on the scale sometimes. But dont let that number fool you! Just because it stays stagnant or goes up a bit after you start working out DOESNT mean that your exercise and nutrition regime isnt working! When I started doing T25, in the first 5 weeks I lost ZERO pounds. Frustrating right? But then I re-measured and Id lost 1/2 in my chest, 1 in each of my thighs and 1 1/2 in my hips! I also measured my belly pooch around my belly button (you post-preggo women know what I mean); it was 31 and went down to 29.5!!! SCORE! Moral of the story...dont just focus on the number on the scale! There are lots of reasons why your weight could be going up!
