As a strong and vocal supporter of the Saltdean Lido, I was delighted that the Saltdean Lido Community Interest Company recently received a grant of £439,800 to restore the main swimming pool. The CIC now plan to have the Lido open for the public for next summer. The Government funding will allow the CIC to restore the Saltdean Lidos main swimming pool, install a new plant room within the grounds of the site, landscape the external grounds and build temporary changing rooms and toilets. This is great news for the campaign. I am delighted that as a result of the CIC’s hard work, the Lido is now just months from being re-opened for residents and visitors to enjoy.
