As an experienced taxi driver , who make a living out of ferrying - TopicsExpress

As an experienced taxi driver , who make a living out of ferrying passegers , day in and day out , thru the local network of roads , my priority , is my passengers ` and other road users` safety . In order to achieve this , the vehicle which I`m driving shall be in tip - top condition . The brakes , signal lights , side mirrors , tyres , fan belts and the under - carriage , shall function without a murmur of compliant . Thru years of driving , I know the nooks and crannies , the bends , the slopes , the cambers , the number of lanes , the one streets , the speed limit , the hospitals the schools , and most of the street and road names . For the safety and comfort of my passengers , I drive in a smooth and steady pace , no jerking and no jumping of lanes . For the safety of other road users , I lead by example . This is when the lights come into play . If there is an accident or road works in front , I`ll turn the hazard lights on - off a few times and if the vehicle behind is too near , I`ll tap gently on the brakes to wake him up . If the vehicle immediatly in front is tailgating the other vehicle in front of it , the outcome of the courtship is no good , so give them a wider berth or change lane soonest possible . Multiple - vehicle collisions happen because of this stupidity . End of Part One . -------
