As an island nation we have always had a strong navy - indeed for almost 200 years the largest in the world. Portsmouth has been the home of the Royal Navy since Henry VIII - the Governments decision to close down shipbuilding there is a travesty and a result of Camerons obsession with not losing Scotland next year. I like the Scots - but they are subsidized through the yin yang by the English already. So what does the government do? Shut down the oldest ship building facility in the world - putting countless English out of work ..... to keep a Scottish facility open - in fear that there will be a backlash next year in the Scottish Referendum. Bullshit.
