As most of you know, I am not one to brag about myself or ask for recognition. I’ve based my career on letting my work speak for itself and seeing where it takes me. The annual Mobile Electronics Industry Awards are officially underway and I have been named as one of the top 100 Installers in the entire country, competing for a spot among the top 12! I’m honored to have made the top 100 and I feel that I have a pretty good chance of making Installer of the Year with the help of your vote. There are a lot of talented individuals on the list this year and I know you can only choose one. So I decided to list a few reasons why I feel I deserve your vote. · Installed the very first I pad mini in the world and successfully marketed it using social media which in turn brought worldwide exposure to our industry in a positive light. My work with I pad integration has been featured on every major tech site on the web, as well as numerous other sites. It has also appeared on national and local news programs across the country, and has even garnered attention from Apple themselves. · I have perfected a system of installing and integrating the I pad mini into virtually any vehicle. My I pad installations are done to the highest level of integration and craftsmanship, and achieve a finished product which looks as close to OEM appearance while still maintaining key features such as steering wheel controls, bluetooth, audio integration, etc. I have openly shared my tips and techniques with other installers to help them overcome the challenges and obstacles I faced when developing my system. Additionally, I have provided feedback and shared experience which has directly resulted in product development, solutions, and improvements on current product applications. · I have completed 2 major custom builds which implemented cutting edge techniques and technology. The 50’s Chevy truck build utilized advanced 3D routering techniques to complete a full interior fabrication with a computer controlled full digital audio system. The Dodge Ram SRT 12 build included a full digital audio build with I pad integration and advanced fabrication techniques used to blend custom panels with factory panels. · Assisted Sony/DOW at Spring Break Nationals by building a demo vehicle with an OEM integration design approach and a fully integrated I pad mini in the dash. I also built a display with a functional I pad and Sony radio showcasing their app remote feature. This display was used in the DOW training room and utilized a Dodge Ram dash panel to simulate an in-car installation. Finally, I hosted a training with my fellow team members on integrating an I pad with the Sony app remote in a vehicle. · Attended every product and technical training available in our market as well as an invitation only Full D/A training hosted by Elettromedia and Mobile Solutions. · Made numerous improvements to the shop environment (installed slatwall and shelving to organize tools and materials, built a mobile tuning cart with all necessary OEM integration and system tuning equipment, etc.) to increase shop productivity and overall appearance. Built I pad and mini speaker enclosure displays to highlight fabrication options and possibilities and allow for easier upselling of custom labor. Was an integral part of growing our customer base from primarily local clientele to include nationwide customers. I really appreciate you taking the time to read this.
