As our lawns green up after a long winter, it is tempting to start walking around the yard and planning the garden year. But beware of early morning and evening frosts! If the lawn is frost covered, you need to stay on hard surfaces. Spring frost damage to lawns can leave trails of dead grass in the shape of footprints! Walking shatters the frozen leaf cells and kills the plant. Most dogs are light enough to go out at any time.
