As the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) were dispersing protesters during President Benigno Aquino IIIs State of the Nation Address, a top Commission on Human Rights (CHR) officer bravely put himself in harms way to stop what he deplores as the polices violation of human rights. CHR-National Capital Region director Gilbert Boiser, himself drenched by the BFPs firehose, sought the PNPs ground commander to make them stop the violent dispersal. He said the protesters are the bosses and the President and Congress are the public servants. The rallyists should have been allowed closer to the House of Representatives in the first place, he added. Boiser said he will submit a report to the CHR to have the incident investigated. youtu.be/su2UuTQcjLQ
