As we wait for the press conference to unveil Avram Grant as new Black Stars head coach, let me reminisce because my big day is only 24 hours away. Sometime in August 1998, I walked into Luv FM in Kumasi and asked for a part time job as a newscaster. The news editor at the time, Ofoe P Diogo informed me at the time that there wasnt enough money to pay an additional newscaster.I told him that since I had no experience, I would be happy to try it out for free. Mr. Diogo gave me the opportunity to read the news a week later, after which the then Controller of Programs, Cox Tamakloe gave me the opportunity to try out as a sports presenter and the end result is the opinionated, sometimes annoying individual you have come across today. Many thanks to Mr. Diogo, Mr. Tamakloe, the late Dusty Wayne who actually hired me and Della Kutriakor, who actually encouraged me to go to LUV FM in the first place.
