At least one other person, this newspaper reviewer agrees with me -- No Good Deed was not a very good movie. For one it was very violent; there was no subtlety or artistry about the violence, just a celebration of it. Idris Elba was playing a character like Silence of the Lambs, but there was no depth in his acting; he played it straight and used a monotonous tone throughout. He and the director relied on his fitness and good looks; he paraded around the whole movie in a tight-fitting T-shirt.
