Avon Walk for Breast Cancer On October 19th and 20th at least two members of Congregation Kehilat Shalom, Louisa Soto and Amy Rosenthal, will be walking through the streets of New York City in order to raise awareness and promoting education about breast cancer. In order to be able to participate each needs to raise a minimum of $1800 in order to walk the 39.3 miles over the course of two days. All funds raised will go towards help providing access to care for those who most need it, fund educational programs, and accelerate research into new treatments and potential cures. Louisa has made her minimum goal while Amy still needs to raise an additional $360.
