BREAKING THE CHAIN OF SIN Sin truly is a chain. Evil ways seldom come all at once. Evil usually starts with one link: Just once more, then Ill stop. In time the chain grows long, heavy, and cumbersome, making us its prisoners. Undoing evil is usually the same process in reverse. Link by link we break the chain and begin to free ourselves through the liberating ways of God. Lent is a season to start the conversion process by breaking one link at a time.
