Back home in southeastern New England, a terrible crime was committed last year in a small rural town called North Stonington, CT. A grandmother, with a long history of mental health issues, including several suicide attempts over the years, picked up her grandchildren at daycare and shortly thereafter, killed them and herself with a handgun. The Associated Press obtained information about the suicide note: In addition to a suicide note to her husband, Denison left a note addressed to the boys parents, Jeremy and Brenda Perry. Denison was Brenda Perrys mother. The note stated among other things that Brenda and Jeremy did not deserve to have the children and Debra wanted them to feel the loss of a child, state police Detective David Lamoureux wrote in a report on Oct. 22. She got the gun from her son in law under the pretense of using it for self defense due to a series of burglaries in the area. Grandmom and the daughters family had been mending fences a month prior to the incident. I cant imagine the grief.
