Beware of Scammers There are many people in various countries, scamming Christians around the world, using the Internet to gratify their lusts for money. Such people are not serving Christ our Lord; they are serving their own personal interests. By smooth talk and glowing words they deceive innocent people. Romans 16:18 (NLT). These types of people were around when Jesus (Yeshua) walked the earth and they are even more predominate today. Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things; but, those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. Romans 8:5 (NLT). These scammers prey on Christians because of the love of God and for others that is in them through the Holy Spirit. For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again, even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. Philippians 3:18-19 (NIV). The bible teaches us to be givers; but, we must be very cautious of where we are giving because of the abundance of fraud and fraudulent people. The Kingdom of God on earth is in the presence of the Body of Christ. Followers of Jesus (Yeshua), live by the command to love God and to love others even as ourselves. For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: Love your neighbor as yourself. Galatians 5:14 (NLT). Because of the tender hearts of Christians, there are people that will take advantage of that and use it to their own selfish advantages. Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. Romans 8:5 (NLT). I am a big believer in giving; because that is what runs the ministries that are bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world, feeding and clothing the poor, drilling water wells, running orphanages, and many other good works. However, always seek Gods will for where to give. Giving multiplies back to you when it is sown into good ground. Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets. Matthew 7:12 (NLT). Your giving of tithes should be to where you are receiving he Word of God. Your offerings should be for missionaries, TV evangelists, helping the poor, and a myriad of other things; but, know where the money is going. Beware of scammers! Woe to those who plan iniquity, to those who plot evil on their beds! At mornings light, they carry it out because it is in their power to do it. Micah 2:1 (NIV). The scoffer will be gone, the arrogant will disappear, and those who plot evil will be killed. Isaiah 29:20 (NLT).
