Bill never found out that Fleur, while out grocery shopping one - TopicsExpress

Bill never found out that Fleur, while out grocery shopping one day, ran into somebody she hadnt expected but was viciously happy to see. It was just getting dark when Fleur, laden with paper bags, strode quickly down a busy street on her way home to Bill. She was searching for a safe place to apparate unseen when she turned into an abandoned side street. Fleur had barely gotten four steps in when he appeared in front of her. Fenrir Greyback stood before her, licking his lips obscenely, his rank odour permeating the air and attacking her senses. His claw-like hands reached up and swept his lank hair from his mutilated face as he paced closer. Fleur dropped her groceries. Not out of fear, but to ready herself for a fight. A sick sort of terrifying smile spread over her beautiful face. She had been hoping for a chance to exact revenge on the man, who had savaged the love of her life, for a very long time. When it became obvious to Fenrir that Fleur was not frightened in the least and was not going to run he became frustrated. He loved it when they ran, when they screamed, when they begged for mercy. But the pretty little blonde girl looked unafraid and ready to fight. Fenrir suddenly grinned, his lips pulling back over his yellowed teeth. It wouldnt matter that she was armed. Any minute now the moon would rise and he would become his true self. Then he could bite into her soft, delicious flesh. He licked his lips in indecent anticipation as she raised her wand, mere steps away from him, and then tossed it into the air. Fenrir barely caught a glimpse of her eyes flashing orange before he watched the wands procession into the air, distracted by his prey’s stupid move. Fleur scrutinized the beast, as he followed the wand with his eyes, and while he was distracted she pulled her arm back then snapped it forward, punching him right in the face. He stumbled backwards and fell to the damp ground in shock as her hand flicked out and deftly caught her wand which she pointed at the werewolf and started screaming curses, her veela heritage becoming more and more apparent in her features as she pressed him back further into the alley. It was easy to see that Fleur was aiming to kill but before she could deal the fatal blow, Fenrir started writhing, changing on the ground. Fleur took several steps back but she refused to leave until one of them was dead. She stowed away her wand. It wouldnt help her much now. Fenrir rose, tall as the werewolf he was, then launched himself at Fleur who dodged the attack but caught him in the shoulder with her open palm. The veela in her was making her strong but her love for Bill was making her indestructible. She injured the werewolf several more times before he ran away, cowering. Fleur so desperately wanted to go after him, but Bill was waiting, worried at home. Abandoning her shopping, Fleur swept, angry and upset, back into the supermarket to buy replacements for the food she had dirtied or broken in the alley. When she finally got home Fleur cut off Bills greeting by kissing all his scars lovingly then kissing him on the mouth and repeatedly telling him that she loved him, while trying not to cry. Bill didnt know what else to do but comfort his wife and return her love. He never found out what happened to her that day. - Cristie
