Biopsy came back positive for skin lupus, which is what my doctor was suspecting. They took blood today to test for systemic lupus, but 80-90% of skin cases do not lead to systemic lupus, and I havent had any symptoms, so we are hopeful that those test come back negative. The good news is that it is treatable with medication. I will have lots of doctors appointments and blood work over the next few months, but I know that it will be worth it in the end. Thanks for your prayers, Im glad I finally have a (correct!) diagnosis and can start on a treatment plan after living with this stupid skin condition for so long.
