Bishop Imakando This evening spoke on the topic Fear- A hinderance to your breakthrough 1kings19:1-5 People have several fears which inhibit or pull them back from making an impact or even receiving their Break throughs. fear of heights,water,flying,commitment,darkness, trusting and a whole lot more. Fear holds us back and it is a powerful force which the devil uses to manipulate people keeping them in bondage. Fear has an origin. God did not create us with spirit of fear. 1Timothy1:7 Elijah, A prophet who had slated 450 false prophets as a result of fear entering him run and hid because he had been threatened with death by Jezebel. Fear has a beginning and it is usually as a result of an experience you been through. what you see,hear or did illegally will bring fear in you. What are you afraid of? Is there something in your past that has cemented the fear in you. When fear enters you, you want to run and hide. Some run away from their destiny. and everything that will bless them. Fear causes us to abandon our reasoning and causes us to run to other places to seek refuge. Fear keeps us in bondage, a slave master, keeping us immobilised thereby making us paralysed to our breakthrough. Do not fear your spiritual father but respect him. Many of us get into trouble because we leave the covering of our spiritual father and go to strange places. To overcome fear,you must face it squarely, taking it head-on. overcome fear with faith fear and faith are opposites like water and fire so pull yourself into a level of faith that will overcome your fear. Overcome fear with prayer. make Jesus your focus, when you focus on your fear, you will stumble but when you focus on Jesus, you win. Your attitude and response to fear will determine how you overcome it. David saw Goliath and just saw another hit! What you fear is what will propel you into another realm. Before Goliath, David was anointed but unknown Know that fear is not from the Lord.It is an intruder so renounce and cast it out. Declare the word of God and do the very thing you are afraid of. Many believers never reach their destiny because of fear. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear but of love, power and sound mind. I renounce and reject any spirit of fear In the name of Jesus! Go forth and excel!
