My Cousin posted this with a comment: Lets Swap him for Jesse and Al, however, I say: LETS KEEP THEM ALL, because for the most part, unless what some people have to say is COMPLETELY ridiculous, everyones opinion in these types of situations, are valuable. Now, I agree with most of what this Brother is saying, except the parts where he is exempting the police for their choices. Being a police officer is a public service occupation, whereas they are allegedly working on behalf of the people; keeping them safe and law abiding. They are SUPPOSED to be PROFESSIONAL, and not take their personal views and gripes against a race of people on the job with them! And if they cannot do justice, with justice, without separating the two, then they need to be off the streets and not acting in the capacity as an officer of the law, especially when they themselves, are not obeying the laws they are entrusted to keep! NO PROFESSION, especially within the government, should be working against that interest. The criminal law profession should not exist to KILL people, especially people of color, just because they are of color. Now if this young man, gave statistics that show that the police - especially white police also kill young (or any age) white males to the degree that they do Black males, then we have a different discussion. But for now, White police officers who kill black males should be prosecuted as vigorously as anyone else - including those people of color who are criminals. ANYONE who do the crime, should do the time. God-Willing, except the ones who are truly innocent, and because they are people of color, have lost their lives based on crimes, etc, that they did not commit.
