Black people must not forget slavery,colonialism,apartheid,institutionalised racism and all other brutal injustices history has perpetrated upon them.We should not forget the dehumanisation we suffered(and still suffer).We should not forget that because of the pigmentation of our skins others,who regard themselves as superiors,perceive us as lesser human beings.We should not forget the indignity,the dehumanisation and the disregard we once suffered(and still suffer).We must not forget that the Scramble of Africa,following the Berlin Conference of 1883,was imposed so that Africa and her people should forever be the wretched of the earth and forever eat crumbs falling from the table of colonialists,imperialists and capitalists,in the form of aid. We must not forget that those who purport to be friends of Africa are in fact the great enemies,and that they do not have Africas,and her peoples interest at heart.We must not forget that those who claim to be our partners are in fact the very people who once(and perhaps still)called Afrika the Dark Continent that needed civilization.We must not forget that Africa and her people are poor today as a result of colonialism and that our economies cannot thrive due to the imperialism and capitalism of the Bretton Woods institutions(the IMF&the World Bank) that are ever exploiting the economies of mother Africa.We should not forget that ours is a struggle of memory against forgetting.We should not forget that black people are alone in the struggle to maintain their dignity and to preserve their history. We should not forget and yes we should not forget.For Africa and Africans shall not and must not be the wretched of the earth in perpetuity-Thabo Mbeki. We should not forget....
