Bomet Governor, Isaac Rutto, has sensationally claimed that the bloody chaos that were witnessed in Makueni County on Monday were financed by Deputy President, William Ruto. In an interview with NTV on Friday morning, Rutto said the Makueni fracas where 6 people were injured was the work of United Republican Party (URP) under the leadership of Deputy President, William Ruto. Rutto said the Makueni County Speaker, Stephen Ngelu, is a Jubilee project supported by URP and that is why he wants to paralyse the operations of the County Assembly. “Ngelu is working with Ruto to paralyse the operation of Makueni County Government,” Rutto said adding that they are attacking Makueni Governor, Prof Kivutha Kibwana, for supporting the referendum. “The Speaker is URP, we see the hand of Ruto in what is happening in Makueni,” Rutto said But in a tough rejoinder, Deputy President, William Ruto, denied media reports that he was involved in the fracas that saw six people injured and said it is just a mere propaganda being peddled by the Bomet Governor.
