Boscos Pizza Co./Tyson Foods Inc. - Warren, MI Maintenance Technician Overview: The maintenance technician position ensures proper maintenance and operational status of equipment at Boscos Pizza Co. This is done by performing mechanical, electrical and electronic plan/equipment maintenance so production downtime is minimized and efficiency is maximized. Duties: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems of all plant equipment (e.g., mechanical drive systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems) Troubleshoot/repair electrical problems of plant and packaging/processing equipment such as wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, electrical installations, transformers, motors and AC/DC motor drivers Troubleshoot/repair electronic problems on plant packaging/processing equipment Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment Perform building maintenance and repairs (HVAC, lights, etc.). Research and purchase parts needed for work/repairs and properly utilize the CMMS database Provide input into mechanical, electrical and electronic designs of equipment Complete project work as needed or required Skills: Teamwork oriented with good communication skills Ability to operate machine tools, power tools, welding equipment Ability to distinguish between sounds or vibrations for equipment repair Ability to distinguish colors for electronic wiring work Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics, troubleshoot production equipment and communicate effectively with machine operators and vendors, and work closely with other team members PLC skills required Experience: 2 year degree in electronics or 4+ years experience as an electronics technician, or 2 years vocational training in maintenance mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, machine shop, electricity, electronics and programmable computers. 3 years+ Allen Bradley PLC coursework Boiler, refrigeration and electrical licenses preferred Minimum 4 years experience in plant and production equipment maintenance Physical Requirements: Carrying parts and materials on the job, up to 50lb Working outside on the roof tops, HVAC units during different weather conditions Climbing ladders, both, stop and extension Standing 80-90% of the time, walking on numerous surfaces, which may be wet and slippery Using lift trucks
