Burke Weather would like to thank the United Methodist Churches of Eastern Burke County for sponsoring weather for the day. A Blessing of the Animals Worship Service will be held on Saturday, May 17th at 2:00 pm at Rutherford College Town Hall. The event will be outside on the side lawn of Town Hall. In case of rain, the event will be cancelled. Please bring your beloved pets, so that we may celebrate their special place in the your heart! All animals must remain under your control via a leash or a cage. This event is sponsored by the United Methodist Churches of Eastern Burke County. There is no charge for the event, but you are welcome to bring donations of cat or dog food which will be given to local animal rescue organizations.
