Buying or taking advantage of offers for, say, a discount coupon - TopicsExpress

Buying or taking advantage of offers for, say, a discount coupon which gives one a rebate of $10, and the price of the product is $25, is hazardous because the service provider will cheat you of the $10 and ask Paypal (who does not pay Asia or India), for the full amount. This is what happened with a music organisation and Paypal. Rather than streamline their refund system, they would take advantage of the turnaround time i.e. to resolve the situation, they would delay, thus Paypal who has a 45 day resolution time, cannot intervene because the time for problem solving has lapsed. The service provider has also got a Refunds Policy which is geared to their benefit and not to yours. Beware therefore of internet purchases and the product. Amazon generally is honorable. Very few else are! Paypal has an option whereby you can Escalate the refund or the repayment or a credit to your account however, you will find that the refund or credit link has not been applied against the purchase.
