CALLING ALL PASTORS!!! I read this with a heavy heart and mixed emotions! This precious servant of God has gone to be with the Lord! My hearts goes out to his family, wife, children and the entire 3 Churches he presided over. May the Lord fill the vacuum left behind and bring increase upon this ministry. Heart attack is suspected to be the cause of death in this case. To many believers, It is seemingly the best way to pass on to glory doing the very thing we love doing! With this prognosis, I question all Pastors reading this today (self included) How well do we look after our health? Dont get me wrong, Gods grace has equipped us for the tasks Hes called us into! It is like someone spending their life savings to buy us a car.., but we are left with the responsibility to service and fuel the vehicle with the right kind of fuel. Adhering or not adhering to the right instruction on servicing the vehicle will determine whether or not the car would stand the test of longevity it was built for. That right there is making sure we are doing everything to keep the vehicle on the road so as to get us to our destination! Right? As ministers of God, we are also handed the task to go-ye into the world to preach the gospel! (Matthew 10:5). How well are we taking care of the VEHICLE (OUR BODY) with which we are to go-ye? Are we putting the right fuel (diet) into the body? Do we rest the vehicle enough? As in are concsiouly and decisively resting our body? Taking a break and sleeping well? Or are we jumping from one service to another to project how busy we are? Do we pay attention to the warning bells and flashing lights on the dashboard of our vehicle enough or do we act strong and feel no one else could do it better than us? Wisdom is needed in the way we run ministry these days. I have heard some ministers boast of their itinerary in a day or a week. It scared me to think that someone would take 3-5 engagements in a day or be in 3 continent in a week!!! Yes we have been graced for this ministry, but we have not been called to be everywhere!
