COMMUNISM AS A SYSTEM IS FAR BETTER THAN CAPITALISM In response to my criticism on capitalism, some have attacked communism and communists. Capitalism as system is faulty and strives on deceit, fraud and rapacity. It is the cause of many crises in advanced countries today whose saddle is transferred to developing countries through the process of globalisation and liberalisation. Surprisingly, in November, 2013 Pope Francis, stringent critic of communism and ardent supporter of capitalism made a scorching denunciation of the current unjust economic system that exists in the world due to capitalism. Communism as a system is pro-poor and good one. However, it is true that many communist leaders are not really practising communism in true spirit which has spawned the collapse of Soviet Russia. But one cannot blame communism as a system. As every individual is to some extent engrossed with self- aggrandisement and power and affected by the erosion of social values, it is also unwise to expect communists to be free from blemish
