CORK take a bow and, expect more, report Cork Daily Post this morning. That is the message that went out today in the wake of a Greater City wide drinks party to celebrate the magnificent, Bruce Springsteen concert. Garda reported no significant incidents as people celebrated a extended to 2am closing of some 220 pubs to enable people of all ages party on the great Bruce. Top concert experts say the party atmosphere, the soon to be upgraded venue, the Cork welcome, hotel and restaurant prices, sent people home in sheer delight. The positive international media focus is also a huge boost for the city, readying itself for Cork Rebel Week in October and, two days of early morning bar closures as people enjoy the fun, the music, the craic and, as today shows, all being done in a lovely, peaceful, atmosphere. Bruce Springsteen is reported to have been "moved," by the receptions he secured in Cork and Limerick, now well established big international name concert venues.
